SOFIA TSIRAKIS
Sofia Tsirakis is an interdisciplinary artist creating at the threshold of body, voice, sound, image, and story. With dance at the center of her practice, she builds sensorial narrative worlds that move between performance, film, music, theater, and ritual. Her work treats presence as a living material — visual, emotional, embodied — and invites audiences into intimate landscapes of motherhood, wildness, tenderness, transformation, and the sacred intelligence of the body.
A magnetic performer for stage and camera, Sofia brings rare physical intelligence, emotional precision, and a potent, sweet vocal presence to her work as a dancer, singer, actress, choreographer, and creative director. Trained as a dance artist, philosopher, and educator, she graduated with academic distinctions from Princeton University and the Merce Cunningham Studio.
DANÇAS POLIFÔNICAS
Founded in 2014 by Sofia Tsirakis and André Balboni, Danças Polifônicas is an artistic platform for original works, partnerships, and transdisciplinary collaborations. With dance and music as its centers of gravity, the company creates hybrid experiences across body, sound, image, narrative, theater, and audiovisual language — poetic worlds designed to be felt in the body.
